Our Power – Toolkit for measuring the social impact of energy communities in Greece

The project “Mapping the social impact of Energy Communities in Greece” is the result of an ongoing, since 2021, and dynamic collaboration between Electra Energy, the P2P Lab research collective, the pan-European Federation of Energy Communities REScoop.eu, the Heinrich Böll Foundation – Thessaloniki Office, and most recently the Greek coalition of Energy Communities “DESMI”.

Although their environmental and economic impact is sufficiently recognised and measurable, the same is not true of their social impact. The website Our Power was launched a few days ago, where members of energy communities themselves can find practical tools for measuring this social impact, which in turn can help in many ways to empower communities. In this context, we invite you to the presentation of the relevant toolkit that will take place online on Thursday 17 July 2025, from 18:00-20:00 Greek time.

The toolkit is available, in Greek, through the Our Power web platform (www.our-power.org). It is addressed to the Greek Energy Communities – members of DESMI, who are interested in learning more about the social benefits they bring, as well as to members of the research academic community that could integrate it in their research activities.

The event aims on the one hand at a first acquaintance and familiarization with the toolbox and on the other hand at sharing information on how to make optimal use of it, in the context of each independent community’s actions, but also more collectively, i.e. in relation to the broader goals and initiatives of coalitions, such as DESMI and REScoop.eu.
