Cooperatives Building Future Societies: The International Year of Cooperatives

With over 150 exhibiting countries and 30 million visitors expected, Expo Osaka 2025 is a great opportunity for spreading knowledge on the International Year of Cooperatives not only in Japan but at global level.

On 20th September, Legacoop and the Japan Cooperative Alliance (JCA) will celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives and the cooperation between the Italian and Japanese cooperative movements, sharing best practices through which cooperatives contribute to the sustainability of local communities in Italy and Japan. A particular focus will be on the impact of cooperatives in building the societies of the future, addressing some common challenges that characterize the two countries.

Thanks to the agreement with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the event will take place in the Auditorium of the Italian Pavilion.
